Amit Dixit is a Senior Managing Director in the Private Equity Group and is based in Mumbai.

Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Dixit has been involved in the execution of Blackstone's investments in Moser Baer Energy, Monnet Power, Jagran Media, Intelenet Global Services, Nagarjuna Construction Company (NCC), and other investment activities in the power and natural resources area.

Before joining Blackstone in 2007, Mr. Dixit was a Principal at Warburg Pincus where, over a five and a half year period, he executed a variety of transactions.

Mr. Dixit received an MBA from Harvard Business School, an MS in Engineering from Stanford University where he was awarded the John A. Blum fellowship, and a B. Tech. from Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai where he was awarded the Director's Silver Medal for graduating at the top of his program. He currently serves as a director of Moser Baer Energy, Monnet Power, Jagran Prakashan, NCC, Emcure Pharmaceuticals and Mid-Day Infomedia.
