David Riddell a Senior Managing Director in the Restructuring & Reorganization Group based in London.

Since joining Blackstone in 2008, Mr. Riddell has been involved in a wide range of restructuring assignments including BTA Bank, Bulgaria Telecom (Vivacom), Carl Zeiss Vision, Center Parcs, Preem Petroleum, Profine, Punch Taverns, Schoeller Arca Systems and Viridian.

Mr. Riddell has over 18 years’ experience. Before joining Blackstone he worked at MKM Longboat Capital Advisors where he was responsible for investments in a number of distressed and special situations.  Prior to that he was a Director in Close Brothers’ European Special Situations Group where he advised on a number of restructuring assignments including AES Drax, British Energy, Brunner Mond, Clubhaus, Deutsche Nickel, Enron, Henlys and Rhodia.  

Mr. Riddell received a BA (Hons) in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Oxford University in 1993 (Scholar in 1991) and qualified as a chartered accountant at Price Waterhouse in 1996.
