Florian Schaefer is a Principal in the Real Estate group and is based in Hong Kong. Since joining Blackstone in 2004, Mr. Schaefer has been involved in over $6 billion of European and Asian real estate acquisitions, as well as disposals, joint ventures, financings, restructurings, and asset management. Most recently, he played a key role in the acquisition of the Top Ryde Mall in Australia and Starhub Green office in Singapore.

Mr. Schaefer received an MBA from the EBS University Oestrich-Winkel in Germany, where he graduated magna cum laude, and an MSc in Real Estate Finance with distinction from the University of Reading, United Kingdom.
