Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Machado has been involved in financial reporting at the property level for the Blackstone Real Estate Partners (BREP) funds.

Before joining Blackstone in 2005, Mr. Machado worked for five years at W.P. Carey & Co, LLC as a Vice President and Assistant Controller, where he worked on the company’s financial reporting, and SEC filings.  Prior to that, Mr. Machado worked for six years in public accounting, including as an Audit Manager in Arthur Andersen’s Real Estate and Hospitality Services Group, where he provided auditing and consulting services to various real estate companies.

Mr. Machado received a BS in Accounting and Economics from SUNY Oneonta, and an MBA with a major in Taxation from CUNY Baruch College.  He is a Certified Public Accountant.
