Mr. Stockwell joined GSO at its inception in July 2005 and worked on the mezzanine investment team for two years before joining the marketing team in 2007 to help launch GSO’s first dedicated mezzanine fund. 

Before joining GSO, Mr. Stockwell was a senior analyst at DLJ Merchant Banking Partners, the $5.5 billion private equity fund of Credit Suisse's Alternative Capital Division, where he focused on executing new investments and monitoring existing portfolio companies.  Prior to that, Mr. Stockwell worked as an analyst for two years in investment banking at Lazard.

Mr. Stockwell received a BS in commerce from the University of Virginia.
