Jitesh Gadhia

Jitesh Gadhia is a Senior Managing Director of Blackstone Advisory Partners LP.  He is based in London.

Jitesh Gadhia has almost 20 years’ investment banking experience, having held senior positions at Barclays Capital, ABN AMRO and Baring Brothers.   He was most recently Managing Director and Head of Advisory at Barclays Capital, prior to joining Blackstone in September 2010.

During his investment banking career, Mr Gadhia has advised on a wide range of high profile M&A transactions across developed and emerging markets, including the EUR 147 billion amalgamation of Royal Dutch Shell, the proposed USD 40 billion acquisition of Alcan by CVRD, the proposed EUR 13 billion merger of Severstal with Arcelor, the £6.7 billion acquisition of Corus by Tata Steel, the £3 billion takeover of Safeway by Morrisons following a six-way bid battle, the £1.3 billion merger of CMG with Logica and the sale of a majority stake in Matrix Laboratories to Mylan for USD 736 million.

Mr Gadhia graduated from Cambridge University with a degree in Economics and attended the London Business School as a Sloan Fellow.  He also serves as a Trustee of the UK’s National Endowment for Science, Technology and the Arts and, in 2008, was selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
