Since joining GSO Capital in 2006, Mr. Schmidt has been involved with bank debt trade settlement and support for the Hedge Fund department.  He is also involved with portfolio evaluation and reporting for their leveraged finance vehicles.

Before joining GSO Capital, Mr. Schmidt managed a trade settlement servicing desk in the business division of Fidelity National Financial.  Before Fidelity’s acquisition of ClearPar LLC, he worked on the development of the ClearPar settlement platform.  In addition to trade settlement, he was responsible for a variety of customer relationships and technical support.

Mr. Schmidt received a BS in Finance from Fordham University.
