John Wrafter is a Managing Director in Blackstone Credit and Insurance (BXCI) based in Ireland. Mr. Wrafter is a portfolio manager for the European commingled funds and separately managed accounts in Liquid Credit Strategies (LCS). Mr. Wrafter is also responsible for LCS’s European secondary trading activity.
Mr. Wrafter joined Blackstone in 2012 when Blackstone acquired Harbourmaster Capital Management Limited. Prior to that, Mr. Wrafter was a Senior Analyst in the Portfolio Management Group at Harbourmaster Capital Management where his main responsibility was to support the Portfolio Managers for the various Funds under management at Harbourmaster Capital. Mr. Wrafter was also involved in Investor Relations, Client Due Diligence, Capital Formation and Fund Marketing. Prior to joining Harbourmaster Capital, Mr. Wrafter worked at Bank of New York Mellon/JP Morgan Global Corporate Trust where he was responsible for various CDO Transactions. Mr. Wrafter has also spent five years working in New York, primarily trading the US Treasury and Foreign Exchange Markets.
Mr. Wrafter received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and a Masters of Business Studies Degree in Finance from University College Dublin.
