Kent Heggerud is a Senior Vice President in the Global Tax Strategy Group.  Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Heggerud has been involved in the development and implementation of global tax strategies for the firm.  In addition, Mr. Heggerud is involved in tax planning for the firm’s private equity funds, including Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunities Funds.

Before joining Blackstone in 2011, Mr. Heggerud was an associate at Davis Polk & Wardwell LLP, where he practiced tax law in their New York and London offices.

Mr. Heggerud received a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a James Kent Scholar, and Master of Engineering and Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Alberta.
