Before joining Blackstone in 2009, Mr. Schumacher was a Senior Vice President at UBS, focusing on strategic advisory and capital-raising for clients in the chemicals industry. Previously, he was an Associate at Lehman Brothers in its Natural Resources Group, splitting his time at the firm between New York and London.

Since beginning his investment banking career Mr. Schumacher has advised on dozens of transactions for corporate and financial sponsor clients. Selected clients include BP plc, Celanese, Huntsman, LyondellBasell, Momentive, Mosaic, and PQ Corp.

Mr. Schumacher received an MS in Finance from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College and a BBA in Finance from the University of Wisconsin’s School of Business.
