Florian Hager is a Managing Director in Blackstone Credit and Insurance (BXCI) based in London. He leads Asset Management for the EMEA and APAC regions. Prior to his current role, Mr. Hager was involved in the origination, execution, and management of investments across the capital structure. Before joining Blackstone Credit, Mr. Hager was a member of Blackstone’s Restructuring & Reorganization Group where he worked with debtors and creditors on in-court and out-of-court restructurings.

Prior to joining Blackstone in 2012, Mr. Hager worked in the Investment Banking divisions of Lehman Brothers and Nomura in London. 

Mr. Hager is, or has been, on the boards of several public and private companies including Advanz Pharma (fka Concordia Healthcare), Ainscough Crane Hire, Consolis, Davies Group, KP1, Lamda Development, and Luminator Technology Group, either as a Director or Observer. 

Mr. Hager graduated from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and holds an MBA with Honors from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
