Pithambar Gona is a Principal in the Private Equity group and is currently based in Singapore.  Mr. Gona joined the Private Equity group in 2011, and will focus on investments in the Asia Pacific region and the natural resources sector globally.  Prior to joining the Private Equity group, Mr. Gona was a Vice President in Blackstone Advisory Partners L.P.

Before joining Blackstone in 2008, Mr. Gona worked as an Associate at Lehman Brothers in the Global Industrials Group where he focused on the metals and mining sector, advising clients on mergers and acquisitions, debt, and equity financings. 

Mr. Gona received a B.E. with distinction in Mechanical Engineering from Osmania University in India, a Master’s in Manufacturing Management from the Pennsylvania State University, and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
