Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Gentile has had responsibilities in the Financial Services Group and currently in the Legal and Compliance Group. He is involved in coordinating conflict reviews in support of Restructuring Group Chapter 11 engagements. He is also involved with the Firm’s Restricted List and renewals of a variety of the firm’s worldwide insurance coverage, as well as anti-money laundering and “know your customer” reviews.

Prior to joining Blackstone in 1999, Mr. Gentile held the senior audit manager position in the Chairman’s Department at The Aegis Consumer Funding Group, Inc. Prior to that, he had financial reporting responsibilities in the Controller’s Group of Phibro-Salomon, Inc. and then at the Phibro Energy Division; his primary responsibilities included cost analysis and review of key aspects of crude oil trading. Mr. Gentile began his career at Arthur Andersen & Co.

Mr. Gentile received a BS degree in Accounting from the Samuel J. Silberman College of Business Administration at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
