Tetsuro Kawakami is an Industry Advisor to the Blackstone Group. He is also a Member of the Japanese Advisory Board.
Mr. Kawakami is an Honorary Advisor of Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd., and a Senior Advisor of Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd. Prior to that, Mr. Kawakami was Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Sumitomo Electric Industries, Ltd.
Mr. Kawakami has also served in many public service endeavors and serves in many official positions with public professional organizations.
Mr. Kawakami graduated from Tokyo University of Commerce (now Hitotsubashi University).
