Viral Patel is a Managing Director in Blackstone’s Tactical Opportunities group based in New York.  Since joining Blackstone in 2005, Mr. Patel has focused on structured finance transactions across several industries including financial institutions, consumer, media, and healthcare.  Select advisory clients include Bank Of America, Digital Cinema Implementation Partners, Cineplex Entertainment, Empire Theatres, GIC, Qatar Foundation, Morgan Stanley, AIG, Kraft, and the New York Public Asset Fund. 

Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Patel was a member of the Credit Suisse and Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Structured Products businesses. 

Mr. Patel graduated magna cum laude from Cornell University with a B.S. in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering.
