Alan Roux is an Operating Partner of Blackstone’s Private Equity Group in London. Mr. Roux is responsible for monitoring and advising Blackstone’s portfolio companies in Europe. He also plays an active role on the firm's global governance and carbon reduction programs, and sits on the British Venture Capital Association's Responsible Investment Advisory Board.
Prior to joining Blackstone in 2007, Mr. Roux was the Director of Operations Development at Tesco Stores, where he led the operational improvement program for the UK’s largest retailer. Before that, Mr. Roux advised a variety of consumer-focused corporate clients at the Boston Consulting Group in New York and London. He started his career with Procter & Gamble in Germany.
Mr. Roux received an M.B.A. with honours from Columbia Business School and has a B.Sc. in Electronic Engineering from the University of Cape Town. He serves on the board of several of Blackstone’s portfolio companies, including Jack Wolfskin, Tangerine Confectionary, Tragus Restaurants, United Biscuits, and Cineworld plc.
