Luv Parikh is a Principal in The Blackstone Group’s Corporate Private Equity Group in Mumbai, India.
Since joining Blackstone, Mr. Parikh has worked on transactions in the power, infrastructure, EPC, automotive and media industries. He has been an integral part of Blackstone’s energy investment initiative in India.
Before joining Blackstone in 2008, Mr. Parikh worked as an Associate in the Investment Banking Department at Lehman Brothers in New York, where he was a part of the Financial Sponsors, Leveraged Finance and Corporate Advisory teams. At Lehman, Mr. Parikh worked on several financing and advisory transactions in the industrial and consumer sectors. Prior to Lehman, Mr. Parikh was a Director at an automobile distributorship company in India. He led a successful turnaround of the Company’s profitability. Mr. Parikh started his career at Prudential Securities as an Analyst in the Private Equity Placements Group within the firm’s Investment Banking Department.
Mr. Parikh received a BS in Economics, with concentrations in Finance and Entrepreneurial Management from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia in 1998. He also received an MBA from Columbia Business School in 2006, where he was a recipient of the Board of Overseers Fellowship and was a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society.
