Robert Kalik is Vice President of Finance Reengineering & Implementation at Blackstone. Robert is involved in building and operating a variety of new business processes and systems designed to monitor and control the firm's expenses.
Prior to his role in Finance, Robert was a Vice President in Blackstone’s Application Development organization, where he was involved in the design and construction of the firm’s first-ever client-facing web portal. He joined Blackstone in 2010 from Bank of America Merrill Lynch Global Markets - Business Supervision & Control organization, where he helped design and operate the firm’s first Supervisory Controls review following ML’s merger with Bank of America.
Mr. Kalik joined Merrill Lynch in 2001 as a member of the Global Markets & Investment Banking - Electronic Marketing Communications team. He later moved to the Global Markets & Investment Banking Business Process & Control group. Robert joined Merrill Lynch from CNBC, then a unit of General Electric where he worked for NBC Cable Ad Sales, CNBC Media Relations and CNBC.com before moving into the Company’s Six Sigma Quality organization to address various commercial and operational improvement projects as a Six Sigma Black Belt.
Mr. Kalik received a Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from the SI Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University in 1994, and a Master of Professional Studies in Media Administration from the Newhouse School & Syracuse University School of Management in 1996.
