Susan Givens is a Senior Managing Director in the Real Estate Group, where she currently focuses on Blackstone Real Estate Income Trust (BREIT). Ms. Givens previously led asset management for Blackstone’s US student housing investments and other residential investments in Blackstone’s portfolio.

Before joining Blackstone, Ms. Givens was the Chief Executive Officer of New Senior Investment Group Inc. (NYSE: SNR), a publicly traded healthcare REIT, from the company’s inception through its separation from Fortress Investment Group and through its sale to Ventas, Inc. (NYSE: VTR) in 2021. Prior to New Senior, Ms. Givens was a Managing Director in the Private Equity Group at Fortress, where she spent more than 13 years. While at Fortress, she was responsible for various real estate, healthcare, financial services, and infrastructure investments and oversaw equity capital markets transactions. Ms. Givens began her career in Investment Banking at Deutsche Bank.

Ms. Givens received a BA from Middlebury College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
