Mike Knauss is a Managing Director in the Legal & Compliance department and Chief Compliance Officer of the Infrastructure business.

Before joining Blackstone in 2018, Mr. Knauss practiced law at Ropes & Gray LLP, where he represented investment advisers and registered and private fund clients with a focus on fund formation, derivatives, and regulatory matters. Prior to that role, Mr. Knauss served as a law clerk to the Honorable Frederic Block of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York. Before clerking, Mr. Knauss was Senior Vice President, Head of Strategic Initiatives at Allianz Global Investors Distributors LLC, the distributor for the retail and institutional PIMCO and Allianz funds.

Mr. Knauss received his undergraduate degree from Duke University with Distinction and received a JD from Brooklyn Law School, where he was Associate Managing Editor of the Law Review.
