Teresa Sweeney is the Chief Operating Officer of Blackstone Data Science.  In this role, she oversees strategy and operations for the team, informing how data analytics and statistical modeling support the sourcing, diligence, and value creation processes at Blackstone and its portfolio companies.

Before joining Blackstone in 2022, Ms. Sweeney was the Head of Strategy and Chief of Staff to the CEO at GLG and subsequently led much of its flagship private equity business in the Americas.  Prior to that, she worked at Platform Specialty Products, a SPAC in the specialty chemicals space, where she ran the integration of its three agricultural chemicals businesses and then research & development strategy for those businesses.  Ms. Sweeney was previously a Vice President at New Mountain Capital, where she was involved in the evaluation and execution of private equity transactions.  She began her career at McKinsey & Company, working primarily on private equity due diligences and portfolio companies. 

Ms. Sweeney graduated summa cum laude from Washington University in St. Louis with a BSBA in Finance and Economics & Strategy and an MS in Finance with highest honors, and is an active member of the Olin Alumni Board.
