Robert de Veer is a Managing Director in Blackstone Multi-Asset Investing.

Before joining Blackstone in 2024, Mr. De Veer served as Chief Risk Officer at AssuredIM (formerly BlueMountain Capital Management), a multi-strategy credit investment firm. Prior to AssuredIM, Mr. De Veer was a Vice President at The Carlyle Group from 2008 to 2017, where he focused on portfolio construction, investment analytics, and managed accounts across Carlyle’s Investment Solutions business.

Mr. De Veer received a MSc. In Quantitative Finance and Actuarial Sciences, a MSc. in Investment Analysis, a BSc. in Econometrics & OR, and a BSc. in International Business, all from Tilburg University in the Netherlands. Mr. De Veer is CFA, FRM, and CAIA charterholder.
