Richard Cross is a Managing Director and Head of EMEA Distribution Compliance based in London.

Before joining Blackstone in 2023, Mr. Cross worked as a Principal and Compliance Officer at Apollo, working across its European regulated entities with a focus on distribution compliance. Also, Mr. Cross acted as the European CCO of Apollo’s EU CLO manager. Prior to Apollo, Mr. Cross worked as a regulatory consultant at City Law firm, Bates Wells, and the consulting firm, Bovill, advising a broad spectrum of financial services firms on their compliance programmes.

Mr. Cross received both a Bachelor of Law and a BA in History from the University of London. He has completed the CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance.
