Matt Bloom is a Senior Managing Director and Global Head of Credit Research for Liquid Credit Strategies in Blackstone Credit & Insurance based in New York. 

Before joining Blackstone in 2025, he spent 19 years at Guggenheim Partners Investment Management, most recently serving as Co-Head of Guggenheim’s Corporate Credit Group and a member of the Corporate Credit and Alternative Investment Committees.  Prior to that, Mr. Bloom practiced law as an attorney at Skadden, Arps, Meagher & Flom.

Mr. Bloom received his B.A. from University of Florida, graduating cum laude and his J.D. from Columbia University School of Law, where he was recognized as a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar.
