Darius Sepassi is a Senior Managing Director in Blackstone’s Private Equity Group where he is focused on investment activity in the energy sector. Since joining Blackstone in 2016, Mr. Sepassi has been involved with the firm’s investments in Geosyntec Consultants, Sabre Industries, Cheniere Energy Partners, Pacific Gas & Electric, Ulterra Drilling Technologies, GridLiance, Onyx Renewables, Transmission Developers Inc. and Aypa Power. 

Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Sepassi was a Senior Vice President at Oaktree Capital where he evaluated and executed investment opportunities primarily in the power generation and midstream energy sectors. Prior to Oaktree, Mr. Sepassi was a Vice President at Highstar Capital. Mr. Sepassi has also held positions as an Associate at First Reserve Corporation, focusing on equity investments in the global energy sector, and as an Analyst in the Leveraged Finance and Sponsor Coverage group at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc. 

Mr. Sepassi received a BS, with distinction, in Accounting and an MS in Business Administration from the Pennsylvania State University. He currently serves as a Director of Geosyntec, Sabre Industries, Ulterra, Onyx, Transmission Developers and Aypa Power, and previously served as a Director of GridLiance.
