Sayo Kondo Takizawa is a Managing Director in the Legal & Compliance Group and is based in Tokyo.    
Prior to joining Blackstone in 2016, Ms. Takizawa worked at the law firms of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP and Shearman & Sterling LLP in the Mergers & Acquisitions group in New York and Tokyo.
 

Ms. Takizawa received a BA from the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated summa cum laude, and a JD from Georgetown University Law Center.
