New York – Blackstone (NYSE:BX) today announced the appointment of Daniel C. Heintzelman as a Senior Advisor to the firm, providing strategic and operational counsel on the aerospace and industrials sectors. Mr. Heintzelman will also serve as the Chairman of Blackstone private equity portfolio company, MB Aerospace, a leading Tier I engine component manufacturer and repair business.
With over 35 years of industry experience, Mr. Heintzelman joins Blackstone from General Electric (“GE”) where he served as Vice Chairman and was responsible for services and operations. In his most recent role, Mr. Heintzelman worked across GE’s industrial businesses to strengthen the company’s services, advanced manufacturing, and product development capabilities. Prior to his role as Vice Chairman, Heintzelman served as President & CEO of GE Oil & Gas and a GE Senior Vice President, and previously led GE Energy Services and GE Aircraft Engines Services.

Heintzelman earned a B.S. in Industrial Distribution from Clarkson University and currently serves as a Trustee of Clarkson University. Heintzelman is a member of LORD Corporation’s Board of Directors.
