New York – Park Hill Group, a global alternative asset placement agency, has recently announced the addition of several professionals to its team. In addition to its New York and San Francisco offices, Park Hill Group is opening offices in London, Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles.

With over 18 years of experience in the private equity and alternative asset placement arena, Dan Prendergast founded Park Hill Group in late 2004. Joining the partnership are five long-time colleagues of Mr. Prendergast – Sean Keene in San Francisco, Tom Roberts in Dallas, Larry Thuet in Chicago, and Brian Levine and Donna Toth in New York. Additionally, three other private equity professionals have been added – Kim Pedersen in London, Julio Ramirez in Los Angeles and William Tice in New York. According to Dan Prendergast; “Our mission at PHG is to represent top quality General Partners every vintage year in connection with the raising of private equity and other alternative investment funds, and to continually service Limited Partners’ alternative investment needs. We’ve absolutely hit the ground running with an extremely cohesive team of professionals who have well established relationships in the alternative asset area.”

The Blackstone Group is a minority investor in Park Hill. Stephen A. Schwarzman, Chairman and CEO of The Blackstone Group, said; “We are looking forward to a successful venture with this entrepreneurial team. We believe there are terrific market opportunities in the placement area for a boutique firm with the highest levels of professionalism, integrity and commitment to both clients and relationships, attributes that mirror Blackstone’s approach. In addition, we believe that Blackstone’s relationships in the General Partner and Limited Partner communities can be helpful to Park Hill in the execution of its business.”

Members of the Park Hill Group team, as representatives of a broker-dealer affiliate of Blackstone, have already begun working on fundraising mandates with Wayzata Investment Partners, Halyard Capital Management, VMG Equity Partners and Industrial Opportunity Partners. Additionally, Park Hill will also work with Blackstone in raising its alternative investment funds from time to time, according to Blackstone’s Kenneth Whitney.
