David Coppé is a Senior Managing Director and Head of Asset Management for North America for Blackstone Credit & Insurance (BXCI) based in New York.  Prior to his current role, since 2019, Mr. Coppé was involved in a Chairman or Board Member capacity for several Blackstone Credit portfolio companies.

Prior to working with Blackstone, Mr. Coppé worked in private equity, as Head of Energy Private Equity for CDPQ and, earlier, as a Partner at Cadent Energy Partners.  He also served as Chief Executive Officer of Probe Holdings, a Texas-based manufacturer of specialty measurement equipment, where he led an operational turnaround.  Earlier in his career, Mr. Coppé was an investment banking associate at Goldman Sachs, in the Technology, and in the Energy and Power groups.  He started his career at Schlumberger, working on drilling rigs in the North Sea, Venezuela and Asia.

Mr. Coppé holds an Engineering degree from the University of Louvain, Belgium, and an MBA from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s Sloan School of Management.
