John Prete is a Managing Director in Blackstone’s Real Estate Group and Chief Operating Officer of Real Estate Americas Asset Management.

Since joining Blackstone in 2017, Mr. Prete has been involved in analyzing and managing investments across several asset classes, including multifamily, Affordable Housing, student housing, manufactured housing, office, retail and self-storage.

Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Prete focused on US real estate acquisitions at the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority, Pacific Coast Capital Partners and Lehman Brothers Real Estate Partners

Mr. Prete received a BS from Brigham Young University’s Marriott School of Management, where he graduated cum laude. He serves on the board of directors of Up For Growth, a non-profit policy and advocacy organization focused on expanding housing supply.
