Julia McDowell is a Managing Director in Blackstone Internal Audit. She provides comprehensive risk assurance coverage of the Firm’s European business, inclusive of global audit and advisory reviews. She also partners with regional senior leadership to support strategic growth objectives.

Before joining Blackstone, Ms. McDowell worked at BlackRock in both the New York and London offices, and most recently was their Head of Global Operations Audit. She was responsible for managing relationships with board and executive management across EMEA and overseeing audit coverage of the United Kingdom and European businesses. Prior to that, Ms. McDowell was an internal auditor at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Lehman Brothers, covering Global Wealth Management and Finance.

Ms. McDowell graduated from Siena College with a BBA in Accounting and is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Internal Auditors.
