Omar Benchekroune is a Managing Director and leads European Strategy and Solutions for Insurance in Blackstone Credit and Insurance (BXCI) based in London.

Before joining Blackstone, Mr. Benchekroune was a Managing Director and the Head of EMEA Insurance Strategy at Goldman Sachs Asset Management. Prior to that, he was responsible for insurance Client Strategy and Solutions in Continental Europe at Blackrock. Mr. Benchekroune previously worked at Nomura and Royal Bank of Scotland as a structurer for insurance and pensions. Mr. Benchekroune started his career at AXA in various structuring and asset and liability management solutions roles.

Mr. Benchekroune received a Masters in Computer Science from l’Université de Technologie de Compiègne.
