Rafael de Fex is a Managing Director in the Private Wealth Solutions Group and the Institutional Client Solutions Group. He focuses on capital raising and relationships with wealth managers, family offices, pension funds, and other limited partners across Latin America.

Mr. de Fex joined Blackstone after 16 years at Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM), where he most recently served as Head of the Latin America Client Business. Prior to GSAM, Mr. de Fex was the head of foreign reserves for the Central Bank of Colombia, where he was responsible for overseeing the management and investing of Colombia’s foreign reserves.

Mr. de Fex received a Master of Business Administration from McGill University and a BS in Industrial Engineering from Universidad del Norte. Mr. de Fex also is a CFA Charterholder.
