Randy Patterson is a Managing Director of Human Capital in the Portfolio Operations group. He is involved with building and developing world-class leadership teams and organizations across the portfolio with the capabilities to create value and improve performance.

Mr. Patterson has spent more than 25 years focused on helping organizations to drive transformation and growth through effective human capital strategies and talent management practices. Prior to joining Blackstone, he served as Chief HR Officer for Wilsonart, a leading private equity-sponsored global manufacturer and distributor of engineered surfaces used in the office, education, healthcare, residential, hospitality and retail markets. Prior to Wilsonart, he served as the Chief HR Officer for BlueLinx, a previously private equity-controlled public company and leading distributor of building products across North America. Mr. Patterson has also served in various other HR leadership roles throughout his career, including Senior Vice President of HR for Wholesale Banking at SunTrust Bank (now Truist Bank) and HR Director for U.S. Operations, Pro Sales and Customer Service for The Home Depot.

Mr. Patterson earned his bachelor's degree in business management and his master’s degree in business administration from The J. Mack Robinson College of Business at Georgia State University in Atlanta, Georgia. He has also served on the board of directors for several leading HR associations focused on the development and effectiveness of HR leaders and professionals.
