Sumit Bhartia is a Managing Director in the Real Estate Group and is based in Mumbai. Since joining Blackstone in 2014, Mr. Bhartia has been involved in asset management of various investments in India including Embassy REIT, Indiabulls Portfolio and Salarpuria Office Portfolio.

Prior to joining Blackstone, Mr. Bhartia worked at Arth Capital, a sector agnostic private equity fund where he was involved in fund raising & investments. Prior to Arth Capital, Mr. Bhartia worked at Goldman Sachs where he was involved in proprietary trading of Indian Equities.

Mr. Bhartia received an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore, is a qualified accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and has received an Honours Degree in Commerce from the St. Xavier’s College, Kolkata.
